Below decks has been upgraded to simplify and make best use of the original layout, with the addition of extra grab-rails, low energy fridge, diesel hot air heating, 12volt and 240 volt systems throughout with dimmer-controlled lighting and thermostat control of the shore power used for heating in harbour.

Accommodation

6 berths with a double aft cabin, double or 2 singles in the forward cabin and 2 singles in the main saloon. (one berth can be made into a double) galley with hob, grill and oven to port and heads to starboard alongside the companionway. Chart table to Starboard, storage shelves, hanging lockers and underberth storage throughout.

Construction

GRP hull and deck mouldings, with timber rubbing strake. One of the last Merlins to be built by Westerly. The condition of the mouldings can be seen in the photographs at our last haul out for annual maintenance. The windscreen and its GRP mounting have been constructed to a proffesional standard and fixed to the boat, without compromising the existing deck moulding The design was based on the Halberg Rassey screen.

Equipment

there are 2 new harken self tailing halyard winches and 2 new harken self tailing sheet winches with all lines let aft through turning blocks and deck organisers to a full set of jammers. The anchor windless has remote controls and can power up or down from any position on the boat. it is fitted with a chain counter and has a system fitted to retrieve a fouled anchor.

An ST6000 Autopilot is fitted and can steer the boat to a compass bearing, a set angle to the apparent wind or a track across the seabed.

There is a folding SSteel boarding ladder and grab rails fitted to the transom. The grab rails are designed to take a rolled or folded inflatable tender.

Jackstays are fitted, harnesses are on board and there is a horseshoe lifebouy with light.

Fenders and mooring warps are also included.

There is a storage box in the aft section of the cockpit which is used for spare gas, outboard fuel and any other volatiles need ing drainage overboard.

Navigation Equipment

ST60 log, ST60 depth and ST60 wind instruments by raymarine are all networked to the ST6000 autopilot and the Standard Horizon Chart Plotter allowing immediate goto waypoint navigation.

Engine(s)

Engine has been maintained by ourselves, both engineers, starts on the button every time. New silent exhaust muffler fitted recently, temperature gauge and engine hours gauge fitted.

Sails & Spars

Roller furling Genoa, 2 sails 150% and 120% both in good condition.

Mainsail with all three reefs led aft, with zipped storage bag on boom and fitted with Lazyjacks in good condition.

Spinnaker and pole in good condition.

Alloy mast and boom, fractional rig with backstay tensioning all in good condition.

Mainsheet track and kicker.

All control lines led aft to cockpit jammers.

Safety Equipment

We will leave harnesses and Jackstays, but our lifejackets are not included in the sale.
