The Bay Raider is a superb boat which incorporates great design features to make a safe, stable and easy to sail family day boat that can be safely towed behind most cars.

 

The secret to this is the water ballast system - once full & centreboard lowered she is a lovely boat to sail - very safe, predictable and not at all “tippy”. However with the tank empty (can be done underway) this becomes quite a spirited boat indeed.

 

Sailing the BR20 is very easy: mizzen and jib self-tack so only mainsail to look after in tacks/gybes. All sails & centreboard are adjustable from the helmsman’s seat making it straightforward to sail singlehanded.

Outboard sits in central well giving good boat balance.

 

Excellent boat for creek crawling or extended coastal adventures with good stowage and plenty of room onboard.

 

Can be launched, rigged and retrieved by one person.
