The LM30 is a well-built Danish pilothouse yacht, well suited to sailing in Scotland. She combines good sailing and motoring qualities with a very practical and comfortable interior which belies her size.
This example is set up for short-handed cruising with both roller reefing mainsail and genoa. All running rigging back to the cockpit. She can be steered from the pilothouse or the cockpit. Under sail, the tiller is light and well balanced.

Accommodation
Accommodation is for five persons in two cabins (includes the saloon). Lyrisk has a nice dry interior that is substantially original. It hasn’t been messed around with and has a cosy, retro ambience. The curtains were recently replaced throughout.
The forward cabin is of good size and can be configured as a twin or as a double berth. A ventilated skylight hatch ensures that it remains airy when the door is closed. There is sidewall and floor level storage; USB power; warm air heating outlet.
Between the forward cabin and the saloon, there is a spacious hanging locker and shelving to port. The heads compartment to starboard has a retracting basin; storage; the Jabsco sea toilet is recent and has newly been fitted with a new pump.
The saloon is generously proportioned and its present owner (6’2”) can stand upright. It is a comfortable and pleasant space and will seat a full crew. The seating converts to a single berth to port and a double to starboard. There is a folding table with bottle store; good cupboard and under seat locker space; LED lighting; 240v and USB power; warm air heating outlet; radio / cd player.
Pilothouse / Galley
The pilothouse and galley are fully enclosed.
Within the pilothouse / galley, the wheel position has a broad chart table ahead and the telegraph, switchboard and instruments to hand. It can accommodate one or two seated. A sliding hatch above the helm position affords a good view when berthing and is very useful when loading.
The galley has a two burner hob, grill and oven; a sink; a coolbox; good storage for pans and provisions.
Cockpit
Sliding doors separate the pilothouse from the cockpit, which has benches over lockers on both sides with ample space to store warps, fenders, spares, etc.
The mainsail is managed via Meissner winches and jammers to port and starboard; the genoa sheet winchers have been upgraded to Lewmar 40 self-tailers.
The tiller can be stowed when not in use.
A set of cushions provides a comfortable seating in harbour and potentially a couple of extra berths. A folding table seats six and allows dining with a view.
The cockpit tent is versatile and can be fully removed or folded. It is in good serviceable condition. Its rolling sides and rear allow the boat to be managed under sail from shelter, provides shade in strong sun and makes the cockpit area useful space in wet weather.

The ships electrical system is 12 volts throughout with power being supplied two 12 volt heavy duty batteries via an alternator which was renewed in 2024.
240 Volt / 13 Amp power is provided in the Saloon when shore power is connected.
12v USB power is available in the pilothouse, saloon and forward cabin.
Pressurised cold water is provided in the galley and heads via a 200 litre water tank and Whale freshwater pump.
Black water may be discharged from the heads directly to sea or to a holding tank. The associated pump, valves, vent and piping have been overhauled, or substantially renewed. The holding tank has not been used in the present ownership but has clean water run through it periodically for freshness and to confirm operation.
A Planar diesel heater provides ventilation or warm air heating with outlets in the pilothouse, saloon and forward cabin.
Sails and Spars
The mast, boom, and spinnaker pole are of alloy and Jonmast brand.
The genoa tracks are Jonmast brand.
The standing rigging is stainless steel, last surveyed in 2018.

The sails are in good serviceable condition and hold a good shape. They were serviced and a new UV strip applied to the genoa in 2021 since when they have been dry stored.
