Tighnabruiach Argyll and Bute UK|
This is a well maintained yacht which has been owned and used exclusively by the same family since 1984. She has been well loved and we will miss her however the time has come for another family to enjoy her and build up memories. The yacht is very comfortable and dry in all conditions and is very spacious below decks. There is sleeping accommodation for 6 in two cabins. The beam of the yacht allows for a large double in the forepeak and another double on the starboard side. The lounge settee opposite is a single and there is a further berth aft of the chart table. The cockpit will easily sit six in safety when at sea and the decks are roomy and clear for safe access to the foredeck. The roller reefing foresail and mainsail are in good condition and the boat is very well equipped as can be expected after such long ownership. She also comes with an Avon dingy and many other accessories and spares. The 20hp Beta engine was fitted in 2014 and has had a regular service pre season every year since. The boat has been cleaned down and freshly anti-fouled every year pre-launch and had a complete sand-blasted strip down and fresh gel coat applied to the undersides a few years ago. She also has a fully encapsulated keel which inspires further confidence in the safety of the boat. The engine has been serviced by the boat yard every year prior to launch and has covered less than 180 hours since the fitting.
This boat has given great pleasure to us over the years and has safely undertaken many passages around the west coast of Scotland in conditions from 40+ knots winds to idyllic sunshine and blue skies, always with a sense of security in the boat's ability. The hull and uppers are solid and dry and the boat has a great deal of sailing left in her but we are no longer in a position to use her. There are various videos and articles about this model available on the internet and we welcome any further enquiries from serious parties. The boat is currently on hard storage in a boatyard on the west coast of Scotland, approximately 1hr 30mins from Glasgow should you wish a viewing. Winter storage fees have been covered by seller. The boat also comes with an aluminium cradle which cost in the region of £2000 and is in excellent condition.
PS. I have pdf scans of an interesting review of the Dufour 31 from Yachting Monthly in 1999. If you would like a copy you can message me at the contact above.

Beta Marine 20hp. Re-engined in 2014. Less than 180 hours use.
All sails and spars in very good condition. New foresail in 2012 with very little use since. Due to family circumstances the boat has had about three outing away from the mooring during the past 5 seasons - hence the need for someone else to enjoy her.
