Our Beneteau First 29 fin keel was built in 1987. She has six berths, a double forward V-berth in it's own cabin, a large double bed in the aft cabin and two large bench seating areas that double as two bunks in the main cabin. The entire boat has had new insulation, lining and blackout curtains (new 2024 - 2025). She has a forward-facing chart table, a comfortable head's compartment with a Jabsco twist and lock marine toilet, wash hand basin and plenty of storage space. She further benefits from diesel heating, a new Isotherm 80 refrigeration unit which converts the cool box into a fridge (game changer), a Garmin Echomap CV, Raymarine ST40 speed, log and depth, NASA Clipper wind and direction, VHF, omnidirectional TV aerial and much more.
We've owned "Joolz" for eight and a half years and enjoyed every moment. She has been berthed and winterized in Kip marina for the entire time we've owned her. Joolz' Volvo Penta has been regularly serviced and she has been antifouled annually with new anodes fitted. First 29's give that big boat feel whilst managing to keep the associated costs much lower.
